Senior Optical Engineer

I. Responsibilities

1. Optical Path System Design, Simulation and Optimization
Assist in designing and optimizing flow cytometer laser excitation, fluorescence collection, and scatter light detection optical architecture (including 4F imaging system, confocal optics, etc.)
Optimize opto-mechanical structure stability to ensure product vibration and thermal stability
Participate in high numerical aperture (NA) objective lens selection, customized design, and optical performance simulation optimization
Model and tolerance analysis of semiconductor laser collimation, shaping, beam combining, and focusing optical paths
2. Optical Instrument R&D Project and Team Management
Coordinate engineers and suppliers, participate in opto-mechanical system scheme review, supplier progress tracking, and testing acceptance
Develop assembly/production transition SOPs for production projects to ensure mass production stability
3. Optical Path Assembly and Precision Debugging
Participate in opto-mechanical system assembly, 4F optical path alignment, and spatial filter implementation to ensure beam transmission precision and aberration control
Optimize laser-sample flow-collecting objective spatial alignment to achieve micron-level focusing spot control
Develop standardized optical path assembly procedures and fixtures to improve system consistency and maintainability
4. Photoelectric Detection and Signal Processing
Lead selection and testing of weak light detectors such as PMT, APD, and MPPC
Participate in fluorescence spectroscopy system (dichroic mirror/filter set) optimization to improve spectral separation efficiency
5. Noise Suppression and System Optimization
Analyze and suppress optical path noise sources (shot noise, laser intensity noise, ambient light interference, mechanical vibration coupling, etc.)
Implement opto-mechanical stability enhancement solutions (active vibration isolation, temperature control, EMI shielding, etc.)
Lead testing and iterative optimization of key indicators such as optical system sensitivity, SNR, and resolution
6. Cross-disciplinary Collaboration and Documentation
Collaborate with electronics, software, and fluid teams for system integration and problem solving
Write optical design reports, test specifications, BOM, and production assembly guides

II. Requirements

Education
Master's degree or above in Optical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Physics, or related majors
Core Experience
3+ years of precision optical system development experience; experience in flow cytometer, confocal microscope, or similar bio-optical equipment development is preferred
Proficient in 4F imaging system principles and practices, with ability to debug complex spatial filter optical paths
Skilled in semiconductor laser (488nm, 640nm, etc.) beam control techniques (collimation, expansion, focusing)
Experience in high NA objective lens (NA > 0.7) design/selection; deep understanding of spherical aberration and astigmatism impact on detection
Familiar with characteristics and testing methods of PMT/APD/MPPC detectors and low-noise circuit design essentials
Tool Proficiency
Proficient in at least one optical design software
Skilled in using optical power meters, spectrometers, oscilloscopes, vibration tables, and other test equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of fluorescence spectroscopy analysis and multi-color marker unmixing algorithms
Flow cytometer work experience and microfluidic chip optical interface design experience
Patience and rigor in ultra-precision system debugging (micron-level displacement control experience)
Cross-domain problem analysis ability (ability to locate optical/mechanical/electrical coupling faults)
Good communication skills, technical documentation ability, and management skills
